Venice, Italy

Venice was leaps and bounds above all the rest of the cities that we have been to. The people, the place, and the weather were all amazing!

Multiple times I caught myself thinking that I was on a movie set. The canals and the alleyways were a new experience! It was very different not seeing any cars for a few days while we were there.

Unfortunately I was still sick for the first day while in the city but I was still able to eat a lot of good Italian food  the last day while we were in Venice. Dallin and I also enjoyed trying on very expensive clothes in all the expensive shops.

At the end of the day even sitting on a bridge overlooking the canals was amazing. Now we are off to Florence :)

Salzburg, Austria

Salzburg, home of The Sound of Music, was an amazing place to stay for the next two days after Prague.

This was my favorite place thus far in the trip. It was very clean and very bike friendly. We ended up going to a castle on the hill in the middle of the city on our full day in Salzburg. It was a pretty amazing castle and the incredible view made it that much better!

It was pretty hot as well, so of course we got gelato and it was perfect.

All together Salzburg Austria was amazing and I wouldn't mind going back some day.

Prague

Prague was our next stop in the whirlwind tour of Europe.

WiFi has been sketchy in all of the places that we have stayed at so far. This has made it difficult to update my blog so I am sorry. I was really looking forward to Prague and the fact that it is so old and has so much history, although I ended up enjoying it the least out of all of the cities. The city was beautiful and had amazing sites to see but the people left nothing to be desired. There was two guys that we met that made the trip though, and their names were Scotty and Roman ( he made it specific that you have to roll the r haha). These two guys worked at a chocolate store and they were the candy makers. They enjoyed talking to us so much that they let us cut some candy and it was awesome!!

Dresden

The third place in our travels was that of the city of Dresden, Germany.

I really loved this place!! It is a place full of beautifully crafted churches, an abundance of good food, and symphonies of street music. I found a love for bratwurst here, it is something that I have always liked but now my love for them will always unearth the good memories of Dresden and it's market vendors.

It makes me sad that the states doesn't have beautiful churches and history like that of Dresden!

One of the highlights of the trip though was exploring the winding streets and paths of Dresden while on a bike. We rented bikes and took an unbridled tour!

I am sad that we have to leave but I will never forget this amazing city!!

Tropical Island Resort

The second place that we went to in Germany was the Tropical Island Resort. This was a place that transformed a dreary day into a tropical oasis. Throughout the Blimp Factory turned into the worlds largest indoor water park, was plants and animals native to the tropics.

I swam so much I thought I was going to forever have pruned hands!

The only unfortunate part about this oasis was that is was SO hot and humid that sleeping in a tent on the beach at night was unthinkable. Instead the group made the best of the situation and we all bonded by taking our mattresses outside and sleeping on the sand.

This was a great day for building bonds and friendships with people that we are going to be with for the next 6 weeks!!
